9.45 IAN LAWTON - Genesis Unveiled
In a fundamental reappraisal of the worldwide traditions of lost civilisations that were destroyed, Ian Lawton, co-author of GIZA: THE TRUTH, argues that a highly spiritual race of modern humans evolved on earth about 100,000 years ago. Although not technologically advanced, they possessed a perfect understanding of their spiritual roots in the ethereal realms. However, they became increasingly obsessed with the material world and progressively lost their awareness, until the laws of universal karma dictated that they should perish. This they did in a worldwide catastrophe some 11,500 years ago, probably caused by the impact of an extraterrestrial body. Perhaps his most stunning conclusion is that the consistent descriptions of ‘fallen angels’ and ‘sages’ that first brought civilisation to mankind tell the story of how the first ‘advanced souls’ incarnated in human form once our physiology had evolved sufficiently, creating an impetus for a cultural development of greater significance than any other in human history. 10.40 EDMUND MARRIAGE - In Search of the Shining Ones
THE GENIUS OF THE
FEW (1985) is the title of what was initially an obscure book by former
exploration geologist Christian O’Brien (co-written with his wife
Barbara Joy O’Brien). He was a reader of cuneiform script and
with this specialist knowledge made a new translation of a Sumero-Akkadian
text, from the library at Nippur, which came to be known as the Kharsag
Epic. It appeared to tell of a thriving settlement inhabited by creator-gods
named as Annanage (Annunaki). Repeatedly, the location of their agricultural
settlement was given as edinu, the same root word used to describe the
original homeland of the human race in biblical tradition - Eden. Realising
the human background to these living gods, which were often said to
have serpent eyes and shining faces, O’Brien compared the Kharsag
account with the enigmatic Book of Enoch, a Jewish apocryphal work written
originally by the Dead Sea community at Qumran, sometime after 170 BC.
It describes the activities and transgressions of a community of angels,
or ‘Watchers’, that pre-existed the Flood and inhabited
a region described as Heaven, Paradise or Eden, and very soon O’Brien
realised that the gods of Sumer and Akkad were one and the same as the
Watchers, who were also said to have serpentine features and shining
eyes.
THE GENIUS OF THE FEW was re-discovered in 1994 by Andrew Collins and
Richard Ward when they too were working on the human origins of the
Watchers for Andrew’s up-coming book FROM THE ASHES OF ANGELS
(1996). Thankfully, its publication rekindled an interest in Christian
O’Brien’s own neglected work, which was republished again
in 1999 (he also went on to write the epic THE SHINING ONES). Sadly,
Christian O’Brien died in February 2001, in the knowledge that
much of his work on the ‘Shining Ones’, as he termed the
ancient, pre-civilisation race which inhabited this planet, had been
vindicated. Edmund Marriage is Christian’s nephew with an expert
knowledge of agriculture in prehistory. Not only does he promote the
extraordinary work of his uncle, but his own research into this fascinating
subject has pushed our understanding of the agricultural and pastoral
developments of the early Neolithic in the ancient world back by thousands
of years. In his lecture, Edmund, with help from Barbara Joy O’Brien,
will outline his beliefs concerning the nature of the Shining Ones and
the location of Eden. He will also decode an ancient proto-language
used by the Sumerians, which he now believes was the original language
used by the angelic race. Ends 11.30.

11.40 - ROBERT BAUVAL - Egypt Decoded: The Star and Sun Temples of Ancient Egypt
Since earliest times,
before even the great pyramids were built, the ancient Egyptians developed
a powerful sky religion based on the apparent motions of the sun and
stars. As early as the 4th millennium BC a solar calendar was established
in Egypt which was calibrated on the conjunction of the heliacal (dawn)
rising of the star Sirius and the summer solstice sunrise. This calendar,
which can be precisely dated to 3200 BC, was also locked on the annual
flooding of the Nile, Egypt's mighty river and on whose waters all life
in Egypt depends. This annual miracle, and its curious conjunction with
the stellar-solar ‘marriage’ of Sirius and the summer solstice
sunrise, formed the basis upon which all subsequent religious ideas,
ceremonies and rituals were developed, and provided the cosmic principles
upon which the great pyramid monuments and, later on, the great temples
of Egypt, were designed.
Here Robert Bauval will reveal the precise function of a secret and
very ancient ceremony of temple alignment known as the ‘Stretching
of the Chord’ which was performed by the pharaoh and the ‘goddess’
Seshat at night against the starry sky. Through the proper understanding
of this mysterious ceremony, Robert Bauval will demonstrate how and,
more importantly, why the great pyramids and temples of Egypt were aligned
to the sun and the stars. Robert will also show how the fundamentals
of this sky religion remained the same throughout the 3,000 years of
Egyptian civilisation to reach our era almost intact, only to spill
its ancient ideas into the new emerging Christian myth. And yet, paradoxically,
the key to the ‘decoding’ of Egypt is found in the ever
changing alignments of the temples across the epochs to match the majestic
drift of the 26,000 years cycle of precession of the stars against the
fixed celestial canopy. For Robert Bauval, Egypt was a model of the
sky, and its system of law and order, Ma'at, was dictated by the pulse-like
churning of the machinery of the celestial bodies whose ‘heart’
was the solar disc. In this talk Bauval will convert the famous Hermetic
axiom of ‘As above, so below’ into observable reality, and
show that the story of Egypt is, quite literally, written in the stars.

1.25 DAVID ELKINGTON - The Vision, the Power and the Place
Were the world’s
sacred monuments built for resonant purposes? How were the pyramids
built? What exactly is the Great Pyramid? These are questions that David
Elkington, author of IN THE NAME OF THE GODS, intends to raise and answer
in, what is effectively, the concluding part of his popularly received
presentation at last year’s Questing Conference. He promises to
take you into the Great Pyramid and show you things never seen before.
Working alongside John Reid, David has ventured into crucial areas not
properly understood - the environmental and religious implications of
which are immense and deeply controversial.
In addition to this, David will guide delegates on a magical tour of
the mystery and grandeur of our ancient past - a tour that will hold
a lot for today’s pilgrim and is relevant for everyone in these
troubled times. Finish 2.15pm.
2.15 GRAHAM PHILLIPS - The Search for the Mountain of God
One of the greatest
enigmas in biblical research has been the location of Mount Sinai, the
Mountain of God, on which Moses the Lawgiver encountered Yahweh in the
form of burning bush of fire and was given the Ten Commandments, which
were inscribed on two tablets of stone. Graham Phillips explores the
biblical story behind the Mountain of God and follows the clues offered
in the Old Testament and concludes that Mount Sinai was situated, not
in the Sinai peninsula as has been believed since early Christian times,
but hundreds of miles away in the ancient city of Petra in southern
Jordan.
Here is to be found Jebel Madhbah, a prehistoric high place which matches
exactly the description of the Mountain of God as specified in the Bible.
No other candidate fits all the evidence, leading to the conclusion
that the mountain’s true location was deliberately suppressed.
Graham explains why and paints an entirely new picture of the development
of the Moses story so familiar to biblical history. Finish 3pm.

3.10 DAVID ROHL - Exodus: Fact or Fiction
The story of Moses and the Exodus is one of the Old Testament's most powerful epics. But were the Israelites ever in Egypt and did the Exodus really take place as the Bible states? Most scholars today would say no to both of these questions. The reason is that there is simply no evidence of a large population of Western-Asiatics living in the Eastern Delta during the New Kingdom, nor any evidence of a conquest of the Promised Land at the end of the Late Bronze Age. David believes that the reason for this lack of evidence is that archaeologists have been looking for the Israelites in the right places - but in entirely the wrong time. Finish 4.10pm.

4.20pm ADRIAN GILBERT - London and the Vision of New Jerusalem
In 1666 a spark from
an unattended baker’s oven in Pudding Lane led to the Great Fire
of London, leaving London as a blank canvas to be rebuilt to new specifications
and in line with important beliefs of the time. The group charged with
this task by the king, Charles II, was led by Sir Christopher Wren,
a leading figure in the newly formed Royal Society. The direction that
the rebuilding of this new city took was shaped entirely by the mystical
and scientific beliefs of this group of Freemasons and Rosicrucians.
They believed that Britain had a predestined role as the new Israel,
and London as the prophesied New Jerusalem.
Adrian Gilbert will lead the audience through the prominent landmarks
of London, explaining their true significance and encouraging us to
see the city in an entirely new light. In doing so, he will reveal a
brand new portrait of London showing where the legends and beliefs of
various ages have left their mark on the architecture of today. Among
the topics discussed will be the hidden significance of places such
as St Paul’s Cathedral, the Monument and Temple Church. Adrian
will also explore the historic London Stone, the original mile-stone
of the kingdom, which dates to pre-Roman times. Finish 5.20.

5.30pm CHRIS OGILVIE-HERALD and ANDREW COLLINS - Tutankhamun, the Missing Papyri and the Exodus
The tomb of Tutankhamun
was undoubtedly the greatest archaeological discovery of all time, yet
everyone knows this remarkable find was beset by troubles. The untimely
death of Lord Carnarvon just after the opening of the tomb, and his
appetite for everything occult, swiftly gave rise to rumours of a curse.
Also, the presence of certain art treasures in museums across the United
States provides evidence that Howard Carter and his aristocratic patron
removed priceless objects from the tomb. What is not so well known is
that among the wonderful treasures Carter and Carnarvon unearthed were
also rumoured to be papyri that held the ‘true account’
of the biblical Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.
In the first part of this lecture - before the baton is handed over
to Andrew Collins, who will complete the delivery - Chris will outline
the evidence for the existence of papyri documents found in the tomb.
He will also explore what motives might have been behind Carter and
Carnarvon illegally removing art treasures from the king’s sepulchre
against the protocols outlined in their precious digging concession
to excavate in the Valley of the Kings. Andrew will ably demonstrate
that the Exodus did indeed occur during the reign of Tutankhamun and
his successors, when a dreadful plague ravaged Egypt and Western Asia.
Yet those who were ejected from Egypt were not Israelites released from
bondage, as the Bible states, but thousands of Asiatics and Egyptians
who were forcibly ejected from the kingdom because they were believed
to be carriers of the plague. Finally, he will reveal how if Howard
Carter had been allowed to reveal the contents of the Exodus papyri
to the international media, as he intended to do, it would not only
have derailed sensitive negotiations between the British Government
and leading Zionist Jews regarding the establishment of a Jewish National
Home in Palestine, but would also have changed the face of Middle Eastern
history forever. Finish 6.30pm.
