QUESTING CONFERENCE 2002 Storrow Hall, Cecil Sharp House,
9.45 - Andrew Collins Andrew is seen as
the founder of the modern psychic questing revival. Having worked alongside
Graham Phillips in 1979 on the magazine STRANGE PHENOMENA, they became
embroiled in a quest to find a mysterious green stone, said to have
belonged to Mary Queen of Scots. They were also told they would come
across a sword, and this was indeed found by inextricable means in the
foundations of a footbridge by a pool in Worcestershire that same year.
During the 1980s, both men went on to initiate new quests, and these
became the subject of various key books on the subject including THE
GREEN STONE (1984) and THE EYE OF FIRE (1988) by Graham, and Andrew’s
THE BLACK ALHEMIST (1988), THE SEVENTH SWORD (1991) and THE SECOND COMING
(1993).
Richard - who is today co-ordinating the events in the Storrow Hall - first became involved in psychic questing after reading THE BLACK ALCHEMIST in 1989. He also became firm friends with Andrew and the two have worked together on a large number of quests through till the present day. More than this, Richard possesses a quite remarkable psychic talent, which has been used on many occasions to explore the mysteries of time and space, with some very dramatic results. As a working psychic in this field, Richard will explain his involvement in the subject and share with others the pitfalls, pressures and satisfactions of taking on this role. 11.45 - Paul Weston Paul Weston also became actively involved in psychic questing after reading THE BLACK ALCHEMIST. He joined Andrew’s psychic group in 1988 and took part in some life-changing quests which culminated at Glastonbury at midsummer 1991 with the harmonic convergence event. Subsequently, he relocated from Essex to Glastonbury, where he has become a major influence on the alternative circuit in Britain’s premier new age town. He is also writing a questing anthology entitled AVALONIAN AEON. Today he will take the audience through just some of the events which for him marked important nexus points in the history of psychic questing, before going on to explain why he feels that this is a subject has been a major influence on the development of the ancient mysteries subject.
2.15 - Caroline Wise Caroline Wise, now the manager of Atlantis Bookshop, and until recently the owner, became actively involved in psychic questing after meeting Andrew Collins and Graham Phillips back in 1981. She quickly became a major exponent of the subject, and over the years shared in some extraordinary events, including the mysterious appearance of various artefacts, or apports. She is one of psychic questing’s staunchest supporters, and today she will share her own experiences and provide the audience with a useful bibliography for them to become involved themselves in this fascinating area of interest. 3.10 - Storm Constantine Storm Constantine is one the country’s leading fantasy writers, having penned a dozen or so books in this genre, including one with Michael Moorcock, as well as others on Egyptian religion and self-help psychology. She also runs her own pagan tuition classes, and is a Reiki master, offering courses of induction into this modern area of Buddhist healing. She became involved in psychic questing after meeting Andrew in 1994, when the latter was researching the origins of the Watchers and Nephilim of Judaeo-Christian tradition. Since then she has introduced the subject to a large number of groups and individuals, and today she will explain how the subject has featured in her book writing and offer help to those who wish to start their own questing style circle. 4.20 - Panel Debate With the lectures having provided much food for thought, the audience can now have a chance to question the various fringe speakers on the subject of psychic questing.
