TUTANKHAMUN: THE EXODUS CONSPIRACY (Part 2)

In 2000, Chris Ogilvie-Herald approached Andrew Collins with the idea of writing a tell-all story on the events surrounding the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. He agreed to co-operate on the project, and quickly became fascinated by the idea that Howard Carter claimed that papyri documents found in the tomb revealed the 'true account' of the Exodus from Egypt. Aware that there was a considerable amount of circumstantial evidence to suggest that papyri really were found in the tomb (it is mentioned extensively in early reports of the discovery), and knowing that there is compelling evidence to link Tutankhamun's age with the biblical Exodus, the two bestselling authors set to work on a book, published in September 2002 by Virgin Books entitled TUTANKHAMUN: THE EXODUS CONSPIRACY.

In his lecture, which follows an introduction by Chris Ogilvie-Herald, Andrew will ably demonstrate that the Exodus did indeed occur during the reign of Tutankhamun and his successors, when a dreadful plague ravaged Egypt and Western Asia. Yet those who were ejected from Egypt were not Israelites released from bondage, as the Bible states, but thousands of Asiatics and Egyptians who were forcibly ejected from the kingdom because they were believed to be carriers of the plague.

Andrew will also trace the route of the Exodus through the Sinai to the ancient city of Petra in southern Jordan, where new evidence suggests the original Mount Sinai is to be found, and follows the history of the Jewish nation from the Conquest of Canaan through to modern times. Finally, he will reveal how if Howard Carter had been allowed to reveal the contents of the Exodus papyri to the international media, as he intended to do, it would not only have derailed sensitive negotiations between the British Government and leading Zionist Jews regarding the establishment of a Jewish National Home in Palestine, but would also have changed the face of Middle Eastern history forever.

Andrew Collins was born in 1957. He is has been a writer of books and publications for the past 25 years, including eight internationally published works. His publishing career began with a series of self-finished works from 1983 through to 1985 including THE RUNNING WELL MYSTERY, THE KNIGHTS OF DANBURY, THE BRENTFORD GRIFFIN and LONDON WALKABOUT. All of these titles are out of print and much sought after, exchanging hands for up to £15 a time.

In 1988, Andrew self-published what is arguably his most successful, and controversial, work. Entitled THE BLACK ALCHEMIST, in just two years it sold an amazing 15,000 copies before finally being snapped up by Arrow. It was described by the NME in 1990 as 'already a cult classic', and so it remains to this day. On the strength of the sales of this book, Andrew signed to Random House, the result of which was THE SEVENTH SWORD (1991), which established him as a major writer of speculative history.

Since then he has written definitive works on the origins of angels as an ancient race (FROM THE ASHES OF ANGELS, 1996), on the greater antiquity of Egyptian civilisation (GODS OF EDEN, 1998), on the origins and true location of Plato's Atlantis (GATEWAY TO ATLANTIS, 2000), and on the true story behind the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb (TUTANKHAMUN: THE EXODUS CONSPIRACY). In addition to this, Andrew has written two books on the relationship between ancient landscapes, light manifestations and the human mind (THE CIRCLEMAKERS, 1992, and ALIEN ENERGY, 1994).

Andrew is the organiser of the Questing Conference, Britain's premier event on alternative history and forbidden archaeology, which is now in its seventeenth year.
