GEOFF STRAY - BEYOND COSMOGENESIS 2012

 

 In 1975, psychedelic author, explorer and philosopher Terence McKenna, in a book entitled THE INVISIBLE LANDSCAPE (1975), co-authored with his brother Dennis, used a process they called Timewave Zero to predict the key moments of "novelty", pinpointing rapid evolution in human development since the start of the species. This highlighted various periods of advancement in technology, civilization, religion and culture, with the highest peaks being c.23,000 BC, 10,900 BC, 5,900 BC and 2,300 BC. They then used this same formula to provide a Zero Point when the current cycle would terminate. This turned out to be close to the end of 2012, which only afterwards did they realise corresponded with the completion of the Mayan calendar (21 December 2012).

At the same time this event is scheduled to occur the rising sun will align not only with the Milky Way's Great Rift in the vicinity of the stars of Sagittarius, but also with the point in the sky that is the visual centre of our galaxy, the astronomical centre of which lies around 26,000 lights years away. In other words, at the moment the solar orb appears, it will seem as if it has been born from the dark nebulous heart of our own galaxy. It is the opinion of a number of well-informed writers that the upcoming galactic alignment is something that the Maya not just planned for 2,300 years ago, but also outlined in the Quiche Maya epic the Popol Vuh. Thus the Milky Way's Great Rift, the Road to Xibalba, or underworld, becomes a kind of cosmic birth canal, out of which the all-important sun will emerge on 21 December 2012.
The eschatological implications of the 2012 alignment are immense for everyone in the new age movement. What is more, the Great Rift emerges in the vicinity of the Cygnus constellation. Indeed, Deneb, its brightest star falls precisely in the vicinity of the female uterus, from which the new sun can be seen to emerge on that crucial day.

He now brings this knowledge to the Questing Conference audience in order that they be fully aware of what is going to happen, how it will happen, and whose word we can trust regarding the greater implications of an event that in just six years time no one will be able to escape.

Geoff Stray's research into 2012 was first summarised in a now-rare A4 booklet called BEYOND 2012, A CONVERGENCE OF ESCHATOLOGICAL INFORMATION, and in September 2000 was compiled on a website, '2012 Dire Gnosis' , which was designed to gather more input from people all over the world. This has become the internet's leading data-base on 2012. Geoff is still the webmaster, regularly updating the site and sending out newsletters.
