Seasonal Greetings,
No, honesty I am sure nothing bad is going to happen on December 21st, or any time soon. Just want to wish you good luck with dealing with what everybody else has been hyping for some fifteen years now. I think it is strange really that for a long time 2012 seemed such an ominous date that was forever getting nearer, and then this year, 2012, has almost passed almost unnoticed. Strange. Still, it will all be over on Friday, and personally I think it is unlikely I shall be doing anything other than continuing to write new book Finding Eden. I work on it every day if possible, sometimes 15 hours a stint. In all honesty, it is the only way I will ever get it finished. I have now done 115,000 words of text, and the maximum is 120,000 words. I will go over the limit before the end, but will then cut it down in the editing during January. After that I will be getting the illustrations and plates section done. The contents have morphed in ways I simply did not expect when I signed up to do the book, but I genuinely believe I have something very special here. In the meantime, can I ask you to take a look at my colleague Richard Ward's ManMythandMagic.com website. We have added two new artefacts for sale - one being an ancient Egyptian dog-headed canopic jar and the other an ancient Egyptian necklace with amulets of Bes and Tawaret. The latter was almost certainly made to protect a baby or child, since the deities involved are seen as protectors of children. Both are from my personal collection, and have been with me for nearly 20 years. I have attached a picture of the artefacts. For full details and prices, see here: http://www.manmythandmagic.com/page/andrewcollins_personal.htm Also take a look at Richard's books for sale lists, which include many titles from me, including an original first edition of Bram Stoker's Jewel of the Seven Stars from 1903, complete with the original gruesome end, which was later banned. http://www.manmythandmagic.com/page/occult_fiction.htm
In my November email I announced that I would be doing tours to Gobekli Tepe and the site of the Garden of Eden. Many of you responded saying that you would love to come along if the price was right, and the dates suitable. Go to http://www.andrewcollins.com/page/news/tours.htm All this will happen, although separately I have agreed in principle to work with Hugh Newman and Megalithomania on tours to Gobekli Tepe. They have one planned for September-October next year, although in addition to Gobekli Tepe the tour will include Baalbek in the Lebanon, the Lake Van Garden of Eden area, and various other Turkish sites. It should also take in the Carahunj stone circle in Armenia. As soon as I have any news on the Megalithomania tour I'll let you know. For me personally, my own tours will only be to Gobekli Tepe and the Garden of Eden in Eastern Turkey. They are now likely to start either in October 2013 or the spring of 2014. However, I can't plan or do anything until the book is finished, hence the 15 hours a day stretches! So think of me over Christmas and the New Year! Thanks also to Simon Nugent who has given me the name of an alternative bulk mailer, which is free! Yes free! Plus it might even be able to allow me to add pictures, which this current company doesn't allow, unless as attachments (or certainly I can't work out how to do it). Anyway, that's it for the moment. Remember, LightQuest, my UFO extravaganza book, is still available to buy from the website. A signed copy could be a good gift for someone you know who wants to completely rethink everything they ever knew about flying saucers and men from outer space. However, I had better warn you, if they are firm believers in the Roswell crash, then perhaps the book is not for them, as I trash this case in the first few pages. Sorry about that. On the other hand, if they want to consider UFOs as manifesting energy forms that open up multi-dimensional environments beyond normal space-time, where communion can take place with truly alien intelligences, then just click the link below: http://www.andrewcollins.com/page/articles/LQ_intro.htm Have a Happy Christmas, and don't worry about the End of the World. I said don't worry about it!! And don't watch NatGeo's disaster week either. That won't help ... Best wishes, Andrew |
