Tutankhamun Died in Hunting Accident - Its Official!

A new documentary will demonstrate that Tutankhamun was killed falling from a chariot during a hunting accident, a view being championed by Zahi Hawass, director of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities. Compelling evidence will be presented on a Channel Five special in the UK on 30 October to show that his background as a keen hunter, and the injuries sustained before his death at the age of just 18, are consistent with him having suffered some kind of fall from a fast moving vehicle. This theory, which has been suspected since Tutankhamun's remains were subjected to a CT scan two years ago, follows melodramatic claims by various authors that the boy king was murdered at the orders of his successor, the elderly Aye. Such ideas have always contradicted the evidence, and hopefully they will now be laid to rest. Andrew Collins and co-author Chris Ogilvie Herald concluded in TUTANKHAMUN: THE EXODUS CONSPIRACY (2000) that the boy king was killed in a hunting accident, something that might well have been preserved in a folk tale found in the Jewish Talmud.

Yet it is immediately under threat of being buried beneath a new highway, but can anything now be done about it? Nicholas Mann confirmed for QuestCon07

Just after dawn on the winter solstice each year, the sun is seen to roll up the side of Glastonbury Tor as witnessed from the Mound, Edmunds Hill. It was something first noted a few years back by Glastonbury earth mysteries expert Nicholas Mann, and since then dozens of people have gathered at the spot each midwinter's morn. Yet Nicholas has now extended our understanding of Glastonbury's ancient astronomy beyond anything achieved before, and he will reveal all at an exclusive presentation at Questcon07, which will also include spectacular footage of the winter solstice sunrise. The Cygnus Mystery - Explained

All around the world there exist ancient and sacred monuments that reflect the influence of Cygnus, the constellation of the celestial swan, known also as the Northern Cross.

Everywhere from Cuzco in Peru to the Great Pyramid in Egypt. From the painted caves of southern France to the largest stone circles in Britain, and the Hindu temples of India. All show that this constellation was very important in the ancient mindset from the beginning of human history. But why? Was it purely astronomical? Was it because it is one of the brightest constellations in night sky, prominently placed on the Milky Way? Or was there some other reason?

Find out why. Click here now.

Andrew Collins confirmed for knights Templar 700th Anniversary Conference

This October see the 700th anniversary of the fall of the Knights Templar, and to mark the auspicious occasion there will be a major conference with a host of contributors in Bristol, an old Templar stronghold in England.

Billed as the Knights Templar Commemoration the prestigious event will take place on 12-14th October 2007, with the venue being the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Temple Meads, Bristol, close to the site of the Order's ancient preceptory.

Andrew is scheduled to talk on Cygnus and the Origins of the Cross and Talking Head Cult after lunch on 13th October. If all goes to plan there will be a moment's silence between 13.07 and 13.10, marking the occasion of the arrest of the French Templars at dawn on Friday, 13th October 1307.

Also on the bill will be Paul Broadhurst, Robert Feather, Gerry Beskin, Yuri Leitch, Tim Wallace Murphy and several others, all talking about
aspects of Templar and Freemason lore, as well as other allied sacred mysteries. For more information and now to obtain tickets click here.

Andrew Collins confirmed for two major festivals - the Big Green Gathering in Somerset and Out of the Ordinary Festival in Sussex

Andrew Collins will be speaking at two major outdoor festivals this year. The first is the Big Green Gathering on Friday, 3rd August alongside a number of wellknown speakers from the ancient mysteries and crop circle subject. The event takes place from 1st to 5th August. For further information and how to get tickets go to the Big Green Gathering website by clicking here. Then on 23 September Andrew will appear alongside earth mysteries guru John Michell at the Out of the Ordinary Festival in Sussex, run by the Antiquarian Society. During the three day event, which runs from 21st to 23rd September, the foundations of a full-sized stone circle will be put in place. Its axis is to be aligned - like Avebury - to Deneb, the brightest star in Cygnus - an act that shows the new-found interest in this star constellation.
A carved stone, showing the stars of Cygnus, will mark the termination of the alignment. For further information on the event - being held close to the Long Man of Wilmington hill figure - go to the Out of the Ordinary Festival website by clicking here or here.

Following the dramatic announcment from a team of 25 scientists that North America was struck by a comet at the end of the Last Ice Age, causing the mass destruction of humans and animal species, Andrew, who made this same claim in his acholarly bestseller GATEWAY TO ATLANTIS (2000) has been asked to appear on Whitley Strieber Dreamland/Unknown Country radio show. The interview with presenters William Henry and Whitley Strieber is recorded on 3rd July and will be available for listening and download in the near future. Elen: Goddess of the Ways by Caroline Wise

Very little is known about ancient British gods and goddesses, although one of the most important was unquestionably Elen of the Ways. For over 25 years Goddess expert and QuestCon07 speaker Caroline Wise has been researching the origins of Elen, and she now presents the very latest views on this little known deity, who might easily have existed as long ago as Palaeolithic times. MAY 2007

Was a Comet responsible for a major cataclycm in North America 12,900 years ago?

New scientific findings have huge implications for Atlantis theory

In 2000 Andrew Collins's book GATEWAY TO ATLANTIS proposed that around 9000 BC a comet came out of the north-western sky, broke into pieces and caused untold firestorms, earthquakes and devestation across North America. Its larger pieces crashed into the Western Atlantic Basin, completely engulfing the Bahamas and Caribbean and creating the myth of Atlantis. Now scientists believe that just such a comet did strike the North American continent during this epoch, confirming Andrew's theories and providing tantalizing new evidence to support the long-held view that the Bahamas is Atlantis's sunken kingdom with Cuba its flagship. Click here to read the full story, as well as Andrew's comments on its implications.

Andrew Collins chosen as key-note speaker at ARE's upcoming Ancient Mysteries Conference - with the topic of discussion being the Cygnus-Giza correlation

Following the amazing response online to the Egyptian section of Andrew Collins's new book THE CYGNUS MYSTERY, the British author has been invited to Virginia Beach to make his case at the ARE's prestigious Ancient Mysteries conference between 4/7 October.
Andrew will deliver two important multi-media presentations - one on the Cygnus-Giza correlation and the other on the influence of Cygnus in human evolution.
Andrew's appearance at the annual conference of the Edgar Cayce Foundation sends out a clear message that its active wing - the Association of Research of Enlightenment (ARE) is happy to embrace new ideas on the evolution of the Giza complex, one that sees Cygnus as behind its unified plan. This follows the dramatic discovery of a previously unknown well site on the plateau by Andrew, which could hold the key to determining the entrance to the fabled Hall of Records, alluded to clearly in the life readings of the organisation's founder Edgar Cayce.

Andrew Collins answers further queries from Robert Bauval on the role of the falcon-headed deity dwn-'nwy in ancient Egyptian astronomy

Still holding his own, Andrew Collins answers further queries from Robert Bauval, co-author of THE ORION MYSTERY, on whether or not the falcon-headed deity dwn-'nwy is Cygnus, following a new posting on the Graham Hancock message board (GHMB).

The Mystery of Dwn-'nwy and its Identification and Role in Ancient Egyptian Astronomy

Following a whole series of posts on the Graham Hancock message board dismissing Andrew Collins's claims that the falcon-headed deity Dwn-'nwy, seen among the northern group of constellations in ancient Egyptian sky panels, is Cygnus, Andrew delivers a fully referenced response demonstrating that Robert is wrong. Cygnus vs Orion at Giza - A Response to Robert Bauval Queries by Andrew Collins

Since February Robert Bauval, co-author with Adrian Gilbert of THE ORION MYSTERY, has attacked the Cygnus-Giza correlation proposed in Andrew Collins's most recent book THE CYGNUS MYSTERY. This has come by way of postings on the Graham Hancock message board, the premier forum of the ancient mysteries subject (along with the Hall of Maat, which has also debated the Cygnus-Giza correlation). For some two weeks Andrew meticulously answered all queries thrown at him by Robert and his supporters of the Orion Correlation theory. In just one week the first thread attracted over 270 postings and was discontinued since it had become too long and cluttered. Others started immediately, and since the last week in February there have been many hundreds of new postings on the Cygnus vs Orion debate.

However, Andrew had to discontinue the debate as he and his wife Sue moved house from Essex to the West Country, which through a series of unfortunate circumstances meant that he was offline for nearly a month. In Andrew's absence Robert Bauval ran rings around the Cygnus-Giza debate, stating boldly that it was now as dead as a swan in the water.

Nothing can be further from the truth, for Andrew has now had a chance to read and respond to all queries posed by Robert, and these he intended answering on the Graham Hancock message board. Unfortunately, the moderator deemed that it was too long and that Andrew should still address all individual points made by posters in his absence. Since this would take far too long, and many topics are duplicated, he has decided that the full response will instead appear here on the Andrew Collins website.

THANK YOU

Andrew and Sue Collins would like to thank everyone who attended the audio-visual presentation entitled 'Stars, Stones and the Cygnus Mystery' at Southend Central Library on Wednesday, 6th December. It was well attended, and the response has been phenomenal. Here is what one attendee thought of it:

"Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your talk last night at Southend library. The Cygnus Mystery has really grabbed my imagination. I watched the DVD when i got home last night and have started reading the book today. If your findings are correct, which i'm sure they are, then this is in my opinion one of the most amazing discoveries ever. I have long been interested in why and how man made such vast jumps in evolution in such a short space of time and although your theory on the mutation of DNA may be revolutionary it makes total sense to me and answers many of my questions." Mark Stanley, email 07.12.06.

CYGNUS-GIZA CORRELATION - THE FACTS AND ALIGNMENTS IN PICTORIAL FORM

By way of a response to his critics, Andrew Collins has written a brand new article on the Cygnus-Giza correlation, and its relationship with both the Orion correlation theory (OCT) and new discoveries made on the Giza plateau. He in turn had obtained it from the executors of an alleged Yorkshire hereditary witch, named David Murgatroyd who died in 1984. He claimed that his ancestors had been involved in the craft since the seventeenth century, and even wrote a book on the subject. GLASTONBURY'S LANDSCAPE SWAN AND THE MYSTERIES OF CYGNUS: THE KEY TO 2012

Click here to read a brand new pre-print article from Andrew Collins on the mysteries of Glastonbury - in particular claims that its local hills come together to form a gigantic landscape swan - and its relevance to both the Cygnus mystery and the events surrounding 2012. The article, which appears in the Spring 2007 issue of Glastonbury's AVALON magazine, is a perfect summary of Andrew's views following the publication of his book THE CYGNUS MYSTERY in November 2006.

CYGNUS vs ORION - COLLINS REPLIES

Please note that Andrew has responded extensively to posts regarding the Cygnus vs Orion debate on the following online phorums:

Graham Hancock website and The Hall of Maat website

THE CYGNUS MYSTERY AND EARLY CHRISTIAN LITERATURE

THE CYGNUS MYSTERY proposes that the earliest usage of the Christian symbol of the Crucifix derived from the pagan cult of Orpheus, who is shown on a magical gem as crucified on a cross. This itself is undoubtedly a representation of the Cygnus constellation, since this star group was said in Greek myth to have been Orpheus in the form of a swan. Now a new article finds further evidence of the relationship between Cygnus and the Crucifixion Cross in early Gnostic texts. Read 'The Cygnus Mystery and Early Christian Literature' by 'The Supernaturalist by clicking here.

CYGNUS vs ORION

THE CYGNUS MYSTERY proposes that the Giza plateau was the location for the cult of the falcon-headed god Sokar, before even the three main pyramids were built in the Fourth Dynasty of Egyptian history. Sokar can be shown to have a celestial counterpart in the northern night sky, which is identified by Andrew Collins as the Cygnus constellation. In view of Cygnus sight lines on the Giza plateau, he shows also that key stars in Cygnus overlay perfectly with the three main pyramids. Indeed, it is a better match that with those of Orion's Belt. This realization is now causing a fierce debate on some forums dealing with ancient mysteries and Egyptology. To follow the threads to the Graham Hancock website and also the Hall of Maat website. Andrew will make a statement on this subject shortly.

HAS ANDREW COLLINS FOUND THE ENTRANCE TO GIZA'S HALL OF RECORDS?

The Cygnus vs Orion furore was initiated following the posting of an article in ALTERNATIVE PERCEPTIONS MAGAZINE Issue 106, November 2007, by Dr Greg little entitled 'Has Andrew Collins Found the Entrance to the Hall of Records at Giza?'. It is based on Andrew's work at Giza concerning Cygnus-related sight lines, and the discovery of an ancient holy well said to be the entrance to a subterranean world beneath the plateau. Click here to read it.

GARDEN OF EDEN UNEARTHED IN SOUTHEAST TURKEY?

Archaeologist now claims that Gobekli Tepe is evidence not only for the oldest temple in the world, but also the Garden of Eden

Gobekli Tepe is a proto-neolithic site familiar to the pages of this website. Andrew Collins has long claimed that it and other similar megalithic temples in Southeast Turkey show that civilization in the ancient world emerged here first, and that this was the biblical land of Eden (see here). Now this is what the academics say. Read a full report by Andrew Collins by clicking here, and journalist Sean Thomas's remarkable report by clicking here.

LATE ARRIVAL OF THE CYGNUS MYSTERY

Publisher Duncan Baird reveal why THE CYGNUS MYSTERY is so late being printed, and when it can be expected in the warehouse. Click here to read their full statement, and Andrew Collins's comments on the situation.

CELEBRATE 'CYGNUS DAY 2006' WITH ANDREW COLLINS AT A FREE, YES
FREE, EXCLUSIVE AUDIO-VISUAL EVENT IN GLASTONBURY

In association with Speaking Tree Books of Glastonbury, Andrew Collins will be in Glastonbury on Sunday, 12 November to talk about everything from Cygnus as the source of cosmic life and death, to the constellation's role as the Cosmic Mother, and Cygnus's connection with the goddess Brigit. The venue is the Assembly Rooms in the High Street, where copies of his new book THE CYGNUS MYSTERY will be on sale.

Times are yet to be confirmed, but it is hoped that the event, which is entirely free, will include an outdoor meditation led by Andrew on Wearyall Hill, the 'neck' of a huge terrestrial swan in Glastonbury's magical landscape. In addition to the topics cited here, Andrew will be speaking about the influence of cosmic rays on evolution, the nature of Palaeolithic cave art, the meaning of Avebury, the purpose of junk DNA, the truth about Giza's ground-sky correlation and Cygnus's role in 2012. To secure your place at this unique event, either contact Speaking Tree by clicking here, or simply turn up on the day.

'Cygnus Day 2006' has been timed to coincide with the feast of Martinmas, 10 November, when the re-appearance in the night skies of whooper swans and other migratory birds from their breeding grounds in the north was once associated with the souls of the dead returning to the world of the living.

NEW - COSMIC RAYS AND THE CYGNUS MYSTERY

Did Cosmic Radiation change evolution and kick-start religion?

An illustrated report by Andrew Collins, showing that the idea of cosmic rays influencing evolution was proposed as early as 1930 and seriously put forward by astronomer and science writer Carl Sagan back in 1973. Click here to read.

QUESTCON06 UPDATE

Tickets are selling well for the 20th anniversary Questing Conference being
held on Saturday, 28 October at Cecil Sharp House, Camden, London NW1. All
speakers are as advertised, with no amendments. It should be a great day,
with a Sunday walkabout through the streets of the City of London, this time
with the Cygnus Mystery in mind. Andrew Collins will show attendees the site of the former Temple of Isis in Sise Lane, between Queen Street and Victoria Street,
London EC2, and also nearby Vintners House, home of the Vintners Company,
one of London¹s oldest livery companies. They, along with the Dyers Company,
have been responsible for the ancient ceremony of Swan-upping on the River
Thames for six hundred years, and I argue that this is an echo of an ancient
ritual that goes back to Roman times, and is potentially a memory of a myth
cycle practised at places like Avebury as far back as 2500 BC.

QUESTCON SPEAKER UPDATE

On the day of the conference earth mysteries author/researcher Anthony Murphy from Ireland will deliver a stunning presentation showing the relationship between Newgrange and the Cygnus constellation, while Geoff Stray from Glastonbury will tell you all you need to know about the astronomical events of 2012, and how this relates to Cygnus. Andrew will then continue the Cygnus theme, with a full run down of THE CYGNUS MYSTERY and what its means to the subject of ancient mysteries.

Greg Little from Memphis will deliver a cutting edge lecture on the very
latest archaeological discoveries in the Bahamas, which will include visual
images of new discoveries we made off Bimini's North Island in June. He has
also been furiously putting together an exclusive DVD on THE CYGNUS MYSTERY,
which should hopefully be available by the time of the conference. This
includes some great footage of ancient sites worldwide, as well as NASA
animations of black holes and neutron stars, and how all of this fits
together.

Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince say that they have some dramatic new revelations regarding the origins of the Priory of Sion.

Finally, John Reid has put together a completely new presentation on his successful attempts to unravel the mysteries of Egypt's mysterious stone cutting technology using sapphire tipped drills made of meteoric origin. See you there. It should be a good one.

PLEASE NOTE the phone number given on the QuestCon flyer for Atlantis Bookshop, where credit card tickets can be purchased, is wrong. It should be 020.7405.2120, not 020.8405.2120 (credit cards can also be used to buy tickets or books online by clicking here.

NEWS BRIEFS

Thornborough henge in Yorkshire is under threat from Tarmac again. This is after previous applications to quarry adjacent land was rejected. A new
application from them will also hopefully fail. Surely all this is a bad public relations exercise for them. Filip Coppens¹ new book THE PYRAMID AGE,
out next year, gives you all you need to know about pyramid sites worldwide, including the full story on the enigmatic Bosnian pyramids, which I still
have some nagging doubts about. Watch out for Robert Bauval¹s new book THE EGYPT CODE, out on 5 October. Not sure of its full contents, but it should be good, anyway. Also essential reading is David Lewis-Williams and Dave Pearce's book INSIDE THE NEOLITHIC MIND (Thames and Hudson, 2005), which explores early Neolithic beliefs and practices, including the bird cult and its links with vulture shamanism in the megalithic temples of South-east Turkey (as seen in FROM THE ASHES OF ANGELS, 1996).

MEGALITHOMANIA -

ANDREW COLLINS AND THE STAR THAT CHANGED THE WORLD

Andrew Collins is to exclusively reveal details of his new hush-hush book at the Megalithomania conference on ancient mysteries to be held in Glastonbury on the May Bank Holiday weekend. Moreover, the organisers have reduced the weekend ticket price from £80 to £65, making it accessible to everyone wanting to attend this unmissable event. Andrew is scheduled to appear during the prestigious evening slot, alongside Graham Hancock, on Saturday, 6 May. As part of a full audio-visual presentation Andrew will demonstrate that towards the end of the last Ice Age, high levels of cosmic rays rained down on the planet from a point source in the night sky. This caused noticeable behavioral changes in the minds of the Homo sapien race, at a time when cave art, astronomy, cosmology, celestial calendar systems and possibly even transatlantic journeys began flowering in a new and entirely unique manner.

This is an amazing discovery in itself, but there is clear evidence that as a result of these changes, the Palaeolithic world started focusing their attentions on one particular area of the sky from which the cosmic radiation almost certainly originated, revering it as the source of cosmic life and death. It is represented in the cave art of Western Europe, which reveals a profound interest in one specific constellation more than any other. The same interest is present within the orientations and symbolism connected with the oldest stone temples in the world, uncovered recently in Southeast Turkey, and thought to be 11,500 years old.

It is an understanding, Andrew surmises, that was tied to the sheer belief that life came from the cosmos, and would return there in death, fundamental cosmological ideals being understood by science for the first time today. These went on to influence religions worldwide, from the shamans of Siberia to the ancient Egyptians of the Pyramid age, from the earliest peoples of India and Pakistan to the Maya of Mexico and the Incas of Peru. Moreover, it is a belief preserved within the orientations and design of sacred monuments worldwide from the megalithic stone circles of Britain to the Pyramids of Egypt and the earthen structures of the American mound builders. One particular constellation crops up again and again, which we find also at the root of primary religious symbolism adopted by the earliest Christians, Moslems, Yezidis, Sabians, Mandaeans and Hindus. What is more, it survives today even within the superstitions and folk customs of Europe associated more usually with birth, death and the afterlife.

Never before has this story been told in public, and you are going to get the chance to hear it for the first time at Megalithomania. Everything is about to change, and it begins at 4.50pm on Saturday, 6 May in the Assembly Rooms, Glastonbury, where you must prepare yourselves to be stunned.

For tickets and further information on Megalithomania go www.megalithomania.co.uk now. Even beyond my own contribution, it will be a fascinating weekend. By the way, Andrew is taking part in a forum on Sunday, 7 May, where he will be happy to discuss the implications of his findings, which have already led to a major debate within the some areas of the academic community.
